Job Summary

Vicor is expanding to vertically integrate core printed circuit board operations.  As such, we are seeking a candidate to assist in the integration of the operation.  The candidate will then be responsible for managing the development, improvement and day to day operations at the Vicor facility located in Andover, MA.

Job Description

Inductive I lamination
•    Learn and support the day to day operations consisting of profile recipe development, lay-up constructions, press operation and maintenance
•    Responsible for NPI Process development including sintering, paste cure, lamination profiles, etc 

 
Epoxy vacuum fill  
•    Equipment setup, buy-off and qualification of a horizontal vacuum fill machine.  Resolving any equipment related startup issues. 
•    Generation and implementation of all tooling to support vacuum filling
•    Day to day operations consisting of recipe development, process setup and qualification, procedure and quality check creation
                
Inkjet Soldermask
•    Equipment setup, buy-off and qualification of a horizontal inkjet soldermask machine Resolving any equipment related startup issues. 
•    Generation and implementation of all tooling to support soldermask coating/registration
•    Day to day operations consisting of recipe development, process setup and qualification, procedure and quality check creation
•    Process optimization for new designs
 

Education / Qualifications

•    Bachelor's Degree in Chemical. Engineering 
•    Minimum of 1 year of directly related manufacturing engineering experience
•    Demonstrated ability in learning machine setup and operation.  
o    Hands on demonstrated learning of hardware and software setup for new equipment, materials, etc
•    Ability to trouble shoot equipment failures and communicate effectively in support of resolution
•    Willingness to hands on run process equipment on a daily basiss
•    Demonstrated capability in applying SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, etc.
•    Solid skills in problem solving, statistics, manufacturing quality, and quality principles
•    Ability to successfully train production personnel
•    Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems
•    Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast paced environment
•    Excellent writing and organizational skills
