Job Summary
Vicor is expanding to vertically integrate core printed circuit board operations. As such, we are seeking a candidate to assist in the integration of the operation.
Job Description
Hot oil lamination
• Learn and support the day to day operations consisting of profile recipe development, lay-up constructions, press operation and maintenance
o Spend 3-4 months at an offsite partner in Charlestown NH learning from onsite engineers, the press, stack-up constructions, materials, etc
• Responsible for coordinating the move of the Hot Oil cell from NH to Andover Ma including:
Press breakdown/packaging
Rigging/transportation
Setup in Andover Ma, calibration
Trains operators in Andover
Epoxy vacuum fill
• Equipment setup, buy-off and qualification of a horizontal vacuum fill machine (NH location). Resolving any equipment related startup issues.
• Generation and implementation of all tooling to support vacuum filling
• Day to day operations consisting of recipe development, process setup and qualification, procedure and quality check creation
• Coordinating the move/logistics of the vacuum fill cell (similar to lamination) from NH to Andover, MA at the appropriate timing
Inkjet Soldermask
• Equipment setup, buy-off and qualification of a horizontal inkjet soldermask machine (NH location). Resolving any equipment related startup issues.
• Generation and implementation of all tooling to support soldermask coating/registration
• Day to day operations consisting of recipe development, process setup and qualification, procedure and quality check creation
• Coordinating the move/logistics of the soldermask cell (similar to lamination) from NH to Andover Ma at the appropriate timing
Education / Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Polymer Science.
• Demonstrated ability in learning machine setup and operation.
o Hands on demonstrated learning of hardware and software setup for new equipment, materials, etc
• Ability to trouble shoot equipment failures and communicate effectively in support of resolution
• Willingness to hands on run process equipment on a daily basis.
• Demonstrated capability in applying SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, etc.
• Solid skills in problem solving, statistics, manufacturing quality, and quality principles
• Ability to successfully train production personnel
• Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems
• Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast paced environment
• Excellent writing and organizational skills
