Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer, this position is responsible for managing Vicor’s compliance program which includes import and export compliance; compliance policy management; import and export compliance training at Vicor and its subsidiaries; due diligence screening for supplier and customers; participating in product and component classification; auditing internal processes against policies and procedures; monitor laws and regulations relevant to Vicor.   

 

Furthermore, this role will also participate in Vicor’s annual Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) control collection and audit.  Working with various Vicor departments, external auditors, and internal auditors, the compliance manager will coordinate meetings, drive the collection of control information, monitor audit timelines, and provide regular updates to the IT management team. 

Job Description

•    Manages a team of compliance analyst(s).  
•    Oversees global trade compliance program, policies, and procedures, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
•    Expands and refines monitoring, testing, and auditing procedures for compliance programs, focusing on, ethics, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, trade, sanctions, ESG (Environmental, Social Governance), human rights, data privacy, and supply chain compliance.
•    Oversees global due diligence efforts company wide. Lead weekly tactical meetings with EMEA and APAC teams regarding due diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC) Know Your Application (KYA) efforts.
•    Maintains Vicor’s human rights and modern slavery program.
•    Researches global laws and regulations that could impact Vicor’s business initiatives and develop action plans to address changing business environment.
•    Assesses effectiveness of controls and safeguards; making recommendations and managing improvements.
•    Assists with regulatory and license submissions to international, federal, state and local agencies.
•    Ensures trade compliance processes are aligned with best practices and support business objectives. Identify process gaps and lead corrective action where necessary.
•    Proactively monitors regulatory changes, perform risk assessments, and direct business process changes to adhere.
•    Leads trainings on U.S. import, export, and sanctions compliance and global trade compliance.
•    Provides regular updates to the Compliance Committee.
•    Drives compliance audits on a regular cadence.
•    Plays an active role in Vicor’s annual Sarbanes Oxley audit process. 

Education / Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance/Accounting or similar is required; MS/MBA is a plus. 
•    7 – 10 years of experience in organizational compliance to include: auditing, implementation, and evaluation of various compliance programs.
•    Experience and comprehensive knowledge of U.S. export control and sanctions regulations, including EAR, OFAC, and ITAR.
•    Experience conducting and managing internal audits. 
•    Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a team of direct reports.
•    Experience in manufacturing, specifically an electronics manufacturing strongly preferred 
•    Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) presentation and interpersonal skills including executive level presentations.

Compensation Data

Salary Range:

 

$130,000 - $170,000

 

Please note: This range is based on our current market driven pay structures. Individual salaries are determined based upon a variety of factors including but not limited to, a candidates overall qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience as well as company internal equity.
