Job Summary

Job Description

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of general maintenance tasks requiring knowledge of various building maintenance.  Repair and maintain plant equipment such as HVAC and compressors; vacuum pumps, etc; performs a variety of carpentry and simple plumbing tasks, and maintains interior paint surfaces; troubleshoots equipment and/or facilities problems and reports them to supervisor or group leader. May perform other duties of a similar nature and complexity, as well as custodial tasks, as directed by supervisor. May assist with Hazardous Waste management and recycling programs, under direction of the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager. May be assigned to provide emergency on-call coverage, as needed, to maintain reliable Facilities services (in accordance with applicable Vicor policy for such coverage. 

Education / Qualifications

•    High school/vocational school diploma, or equivalent experience.
•    3-5 years' applicable experience.
•    General working knowledge of plant facilities equipment and systems:
HVAC, air compressors, vacuum pumps, chilled water systems, energy management systems, and
     alarm systems
•    Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds 
•    Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
