Job Summary
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a facility’s equipment, systems, and physical infrastructure. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and completing repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems. This position supports smooth daily operations and helps minimize downtime across the organization.
Job Description
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, machinery, and building systems to identify issues early.
- Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to reduce breakdowns.
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, including motors, pumps, lighting, and control systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize operational disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
- Assist with installation of new equipment or facility upgrades.
- Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams when specialized repairs are required.
Education / Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or related fields preferred.
- Prior experience in facility, industrial, or equipment maintenance required
Physical Requirements:
- Will involve standing, lifting, climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces.
- Work may occur indoors or outdoors depending on facility needs.
- On-call or shift work may be required for emergency repairs.

Compensation Data
Salary:
$55,000 - $72,000
Additional 12.5% Shift Differential for Working 2nd Shift
