Job Description

Managing all day to day aspects of Vicor's VI-Chip manufacturing production operations, reporting to the Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations. This line is highly automated and runs high-volume, medium mix for external customers, and low-volume, high-mix for internal customers. Manager will ensure that all manufacturing jobs are processed per documented instructions in a timely fashion.   Will also develop annual goals and drive these to successful completion.   Other responsibilities include:
•    Addresses any production or quality related issue
•    Communicates to various departments on production status and issues
•    Directly Manage a 3 shift operation, each shift has 2 Production Supervisors that reports to this position
•    Ensures all orders are shipped on-time, while adhering to all product quality requirements   
•    Optimizes labor and capital resources to minimize product cost and maximize efficiency
•    Manages departmental costs and budgets 
•    Develops departmental resources and addresses any departmental performance issues
•    Works to continuously improve operations, reducing costs, scrap, and cycle time
•    Establishes a working environment that promotes continuous improvement and high morale. 
•    Works with Production Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Design Engineering on a regular basis
•    Ensures the smooth integration of new processes into the manufacturing organization, proactively training production personnel, reviewing work instructions and ensuring production personnel understand and follow new procedures
 

Education / Qualifications

•    BS in Engineering, Business, Operations or Management. 
•    8+ year’s of experience working in high-tech manufacturing production.
•    Experience working in both new production introduction and high volume environment
•    Working knowledge of ERP systems 
•    Proven record of attracting, selecting, training, developing and managing staff
•    Demonstrated experience utilizing world class manufacturing techniques such as SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, 8D, etc.

Compensation Data

Salary Range:

$121,040.00 $151,300.00 $196,690.00
