Job Description

Perform thermal analysis of electronic packaging of power converters and power conversion systems. Primary focus on thermal aspects of product package design, but will also support manufacturing in resolution of problem solving and cost reduction measures.  Will direct and oversee thermal testing to correlate/validate thermal analysis results.

Education / Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4-7 years experience. Master’s degree preferred. 
•    Able to utilize graphical and visual aids effectively, including PowerPoint, EXCEL and MSWord, to communicate results from analysis, simulation, and test.
•    Has good analysis skills and relevant experience in utilizing ANSYS Workbench finite element analysis tools using SpaceClaim to model and simulate heat transfer problems involving conduction, radiation, and convection. Familiarity with static structural analysis is preferred. 
•    Strong analytical skills in solving heat transfer problems.
•    Can formulate experimental approaches to problem solving when appropriate. Able to identify and interpret relevant data.
•    Has demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, as well as be an effective contributor to team-based problem solving and new product development activities.
