Job Description
- Develop and maintain Vicor’s proprietary ATE (Automatic Test Equipment).
- Design test software modules for USTA (Universal Software Test Architecture) using (C#, Visual Basic).
- Analyze and implement "off the shelf" instrumentation components (GPIB, USB, Ethernet, and Serial).
- Provide documentation at all stages of software/hardware development.
- Work closely with Design Engineering to develop new test procedures.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to support and optimize existing ATE software and hardware.
- Sets goals, stays focused on the task/assignment at hand, and drives them to completion.
- Maintains a high degree of technical competence and helps others to use state-of-the-art techniques.
Education / Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Applied Science- Electrical Engineering degree ideal
- 3+ years developing software for equipment- ideally Automated Test Equipment
- Programming experience in .NET, C# ideally
- Experience with power supply testing a plus
- Working knowledge of AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies a plus
- Analog & digital hardware involving power electronics a plus
- Programming experience in C/C++,.NET, SQL, database design, HTML5, JavaScript a plus
- Experience with the development of LabVIEW applications a plus
- PCB CAD software(Altium) experience is highly desirable.
- Team player, capable of working effectively independently or in a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of personnel in discussions and explanations of complex systems.
- Excellent written & verbal communications
