Job Summary
The Sr. Operational Excellence Engineer supports Manufacturing Leadership by analyzing, designing, and implementing manufacturing and business processes that improve overall efficiency.
Job Description
- Works with the cross-functional team on the overall capacity versus mix change
- Provides appropriate reporting analytics on continuous improvement initiatives and metrics
- Monitors and reports on key metrics such as cycle-time, DL Efficiency and On-Time-Delivery
- Partners with all areas to drive Operational Excellence methodology and analytics to ensure sustainable manufacturing and business process improvements are met
- Captures real-time measurement data for capital and cost saving initiatives
- Drives measureable improvements by identifying opportunities to remove waste
- Functions as a resource for continuous improvement methodologies across all areas
- Guides and challenges cross-functional teams in development and execution of continuous improvement activities to reduce cycle time, inventory, overtime, head count and waste while improving process performance, quality, cost, and standardizing the process
- Assists with the development of tools, methods and processes that will result in significant process improvement for Operations, Production, Quality, Maintenance Reliability and Management
- Supports manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives that drive operations performance improvements
- Works with leaders in annual business plan strategic development planning process and prioritize improvement opportunities based on tactical planning objectives
Education / Qualifications
• BS Degree in Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in leading and supporting continuous improvement projects in a manufacturing, supply chain, or production environment. Minimum of 3+ years in a tradional manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience with various manufacturing methodologies and practices
• Experience with capacity modeling
• Expert in the use of data manipulation within Excel. SAP experience strongly preferred
• Data analysis/manipulation and Project Management experience
• Experience leading and educating on Lean methodologies and Kaizen events
• Systemic problem solver, with experience implementing solutions with root cause analysis

Compensation Data
Salary Range:
$105,000 - $125,000
Please note: This range is based on our current market driven pay structures. Individual salaries are determined based upon a variety of factors including but not limited to, a candidates overall qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience as well as company internal equity.
