Job Summary

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Supply Chain Analyst is to conduct Data analysis such as compiling KPIs, managing projects for process improvements, investigating and analyzing forecasting trends. This is in addition to still maintaining a procurement work load.

 

Responsibilities:           

  • Manage purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory and services in a cost effective and timely manner
  • Data Analysis: utilize existing reporting or create new reports to provide visibility into spend, inventory levels, supplier performance, logistical costs for inbound material, tariffs, forecasting accuracy, inventory turns, and other critical KPIs as the need arises. Develop various reports in Excel for customers, internal teams, and management. Provide analysis of reporting results in a presentation format on a regularly scheduled basis
  • Managing Projects: Use the KPIs to determine areas that need improving, and form the project scope, objectives, and goals and gather critical individuals for the success of the projects. There will likely be many projects at one time (SAP improvements, NDAs, updating documentation, supply chain contracts, lead times, etc…)
  • Forecast Analysis: Understand key customers and demand drivers, and collaborate with the purchasing individuals to ensure they are aware of upcoming demand. Monitor the accuracy of the forecast and collaborate with sales, purchasing, and planning to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Maintain purchase orders in a manner that is in the best interest of Vicor’s business. 
  • Monitor long-term material demand.  Ensure customer (i.e. plant) requirements are thoroughly satisfied, while supporting corporate inventory initiatives.
  • Understand material costs and how they can be used in supplier negotiations. 
  • Create /optimize value from suppliers. 

Education / Qualifications

  • BS in Business, Finance, Operations or similar field
  • 5+ years related materials and analytics experience
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel skills specific to data analysis
  • Solid knowledge of computers and software such as Word, Powerpoint, MRP system, SAP preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Professional certification is desirable
  • Proven ability to work as a team player
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented

Compensation Data

Salary Range: 

$90,000 - $110,000

Please note: This range is based on our current market driven pay structures. Individual salaries are determined based upon a variety of factors including but not limited to, a candidates overall qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience as well as company internal equity.
