Job Summary

Vicor Rhode Island (VRI) is in need of a Manufacturing Technical Analyst to support backend semiconductor processing operations.  VRI is in the process of vertically integrating new capabilities to support quick turn engineering builds.  The Manufacturing Technical Analyst is responsible for maintaining production schedules as well as the ERP/PLM master data controlling production.  The role will initially be focused on implementing and auditing master data to ensure the facility is prepared to ramp up production.  

Job Description

Master Data Control
•    Ensure alignment between ERP (SAP) and PLM (Omnify) systems
o    Submit ECOs as necessary to align systems
o    Create new PNs and BOMs in ERP as they are released in PLM
•    Generate detailed routings in ERP to control production
o    Review new routings with Quality and Test teams prior to release
o    Update routings as processes or supply chains change
•    Create new work centers as new suppliers or internal capabilities are established
•    Responsible for master data hierarchy integrity (items, groups, families, etc)

Production Control
•    Assure shipments are made on schedule and maintain clear communication with related functions
•    Attend daily production meetings to understand upstream and downstream WIP planning
•    Liaison between planners and operators:
o    Responsible for communicating WIP status to RI and Andover planning teams
o    Responsible for communicating planning priorities to operators
•    Monitor core metrics (throughput, cycle time, scrap) on a daily basis
•    Establish and publish additional metrics (utilization, cost, set-up time, etc)
•    Develop and enforce departmental procedures

Education / Qualifications

•    5 – 7 years of experience working in high-tech manufacturing production
•    AS/BS Degree in Operations, Management, Finance, etc.
•    Experience working in both new product introduction and high volume environment
•    Working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP experience is a plus
•    Demonstrated experience utilizing world class manufacturing techniques such as SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, 8D, etc.

Compensation Data

Salary:

$85,000 - $110,000

Please note: This range is based on our current market driven pay structures. Individual salaries are determined based upon a variety of factors including but not limited to, a candidates overall qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience as well as company internal equity.
